Winter Swan - Vancouver Island

This 2' x 3' canvas is based on a picture by Jim Murray, another outstanding Craig Bay photographer. That's new-fallen snow on the shoreline behind the Trumpeter Swan which is coping with ice on a neighbourhood pond. Snow and ice are rare here so this is likely a new experience for this swan. This is a big painting, fitting for a waterfowl with a wingspan of six to eight feet.
